PEAK MTB is based near Glasgow, with coaching available at a range of venues across central Scotland including Carron Valley, Cathkin Braes, Aberfoyle, Glentress and Innerleithen.We also offer MTB guiding and tours across Scotland.
Most of our coaching takes place across central Scotland and the Tweed Valley, including Carron Valley, Cathkin Braes, Aberfoyle, Glentress and Innerleithen.For private coaching and guiding, we can also arrange sessions at other suitable venues across Scotland.
For coaching sessions and skills courses, you'll normally need to bring your own suitable mountain bike.Bike hire can be arranged for guided rides and MTB tours. If you're unsure, get in touch before booking and we'll be happy to help.
A well-maintained mountain bike that's suitable for the trails we'll be riding is ideal.Both regular mountain bikes and eMTBs are welcome on most sessions. If you're unsure whether your bike is suitable, send us a message before booking.
Yes. A properly fitted cycling helmet is required for all PEAK MTB sessions.For more advanced riding, such as downhill, enduro, jumps or technical trails, additional protection such as knee pads and a full-face helmet may also be recommended.
Bring your bike, helmet, suitable riding clothing, water and any snacks you may need.We'd also recommend dressing for the Scottish weather and bringing a spare layer or waterproof jacket.For longer sessions, we'll let you know if there's anything additional you should bring.
Mountain biking is an outdoor sport, so sessions normally go ahead in typical Scottish weather.If conditions are likely to make the session unsafe or unsuitable, we'll contact you to discuss the options.
If you need to change your booking, get in touch with us as soon as possible.We'll always try to help where we can, with cancellations and changes handled in line with the terms of your booking.
Not at all.We work with everyone from complete beginners through to experienced downhill and enduro racers. Your session will be matched to your current riding level and what you'd like to improve.If you're unsure which option is right for you, just get in touch.
Yes!We offer private youth coaching as well as dedicated Kids MTB Camps.Our standard adult skills courses have a minimum age of 16, so younger riders are normally better suited to a youth private session or one of our kids' camps.
Yes. Private coaching can be arranged for individuals or groups of friends and family.Group sessions are a great option if you ride at a similar level or want to work on skills together.
Yes!PEAK MTB gift vouchers are available and can be used towards coaching and other eligible PEAK MTB experiences.They're a great option if you know someone who loves riding but aren't sure exactly which session they'd prefer.
