Do participants need mountain biking experience?

No. We can design the day for complete beginners, experienced riders or a mixed-ability team. Riders can be divided into suitable groups so everyone takes part at the right level.

How many people can take part?

PEAK MTB can accommodate up to 120 participants in one day. Up to 60 people can ride at the same time, subject to guide availability. Groups of 61 to 120 use a split-and-rotate format.

How does the split-and-rotate format work?

Accepted Answer

One part of the group rides while the other takes part in another activity or has a scheduled break. The groups then swap. We can organise the other activities at our included venues such as a tour of the Burrell Collection at Pollok Park, a boat tour of Loch Lomond, or the Duncarron Medeval Fort Experience at Carron Valley.Bikes and guides can be shared between rotations, which can make larger events more cost-effective.

Can groups split and rotate during a half-day event?

Yes. Split and rotate is available for both half-day and full-day Corporate MTB Days.

Question 5

Does a group of 60 have to split and rotate?

Accepted Answer

No. Up to 60 people can ride together when all 10 guides are available. Groups of 60 or fewer can also choose to split and rotate when it better suits their itinerary, venue or budget.

How many guides will our group need?

Accepted Answer

PEAK MTB uses a maximum ratio of one guide to six people riding at the same time. For split-and-rotate events, the guide requirement is based on the largest riding rotation rather than the total number attending.

Question 7

Can PEAK MTB provide mountain bikes and eMTBs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can arrange standard mountain bikes, electric mountain bikes or a combination. Participants can also bring their own suitable bikes. Equipment requirements are confirmed in your tailored proposal.

Where can Corporate MTB Days take place?

Accepted Answer

Our main corporate venues are Pollok Country Park, Balloch Castle Country Park, Carron Valley and Glentress. We can also assess suitable custom venues elsewhere in Scotland.

Can you organise mountain biking for corporate incentive travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with businesses, incentive travel planners, event agencies, destination management companies and hotels to include mountain biking within wider Scottish itineraries.

Can the experience fit around meetings or another activity?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Half-day and split-and-rotate formats can work alongside meetings, conferences, hospitality or another team activity. Tell us your timings and location and we will recommend a practical format.

Question 11

How much does a Corporate MTB Day cost?

Accepted Answer

Every event is individually quoted according to the group size, event length, number riding at once, guide team, bike requirements, venue, travel and permits. Qualifying large half-day groups at a standard venue can start from around £89 per person.

How does the 10% large-group discount work?

Groups of 50 or more receive 10% off the complete calculated event price.

Are venue permits included?

Accepted Answer

Where a venue permit or Permission to Use agreement is required, PEAK MTB will arrange it and include the cost clearly within the event proposal.

How does payment work?

Accepted Answer

Corporate bookings are normally paid by invoice. After the proposal is approved, a 50% booking payment confirms the event. The remaining 50% is due 30 days before the event. Events confirmed within 30 days are payable in full.

Question 15

Can you work with our purchase order or supplier onboarding process?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Purchase order requirements, finance contacts and supplier onboarding can be handled after the proposal is approved. Alternative arrangements must be agreed with PEAK MTB in writing.

Question 16

What happens if the weather is poor?

Accepted Answer

Mountain biking can operate in most Scottish weather conditions. We monitor the forecast and venue conditions, adapt the riding plan where appropriate and discuss alternatives if conditions make delivery unsafe.
