Ok everyone can ride a bike, but ever felt uncertain or gone "woaaah"
as you went down hill and nearly came off, then this course introduces many of the skills that will help you to get on
your bike and ride in the outdoors, safely, enjoyably and efficiently. This 1 day course is based in the heart of the
Peak District National Park and is ideal for someone who has either not had their mountain bike out in the mountains or someone
who wants to improve on techniques to get more out of their ride.
The maximum number of riders on this course is
6 and the minimum is you! If you would like a personal tuition day then check out our personal courses.
Learning Objectives: The skills we
will look at and put into practice include; · Your
bike - its set-up for you for comfort and the best riding position. · Pre ride bike
checks - the essentials for a day in the saddle. · Your position
on the bike - balance, movement, everything you need for confidence. · Descending
made safer - how to ride drops and slopes simply and safely. · Ascending
made easier – Start taking the grunts out of going uphill, and yes we will be going uphill!
